Josh Ashton
Hull, UK · Lead C# .NET Engineer and AI Engineer

Hi, I’m Josh.

I build .NET, Python and AI systems, and I write about what I’m learning.

I’ve been building software for 14+ years, mostly in C# and .NET and mostly in highly regulated environments. These days I write a lot of Python too, much of it AI work. I spent 8 years at LabLogic as Lead Software Engineer, where I was architect and lead developer of Tracer-QC.

This site is my online CV, but mostly it’s a blog for everything I’m learning, written as I learn it.

Building

The servicebus-job-pipeline write-up, and this site.

Turning the repo into a proper end-to-end walkthrough: queues, dead-letters, Entra ID auth and live progress over SignalR.

Learning

Go, Kafka, Cassandra and Kubernetes, with distributed systems fundamentals underneath.

Next up: Kafka, and how it works differently from the queues I already know.
